Why I keep three different genres on my phone at all times
My home screen folder is a deliberate mix: something fast, something slow, and something to think about. I've learned that no single game fits every moment of the day.
For a two-minute wait I want an arcade racer or a casual tap game — low stakes, instant fun, easy to drop. For a quiet evening I reach for an RPG or an adventure that asks for actual attention.
Then there's the planning category: a strategy or a sim I can poke at in the background. These suit a lazy Sunday where I'd rather tinker than react.
Keeping genres varied also spreads out the battery load, since a cozy farming sim barely touches your charge while a flashy racer drains it fast. Reading your own mood before you open an app sounds silly, but it genuinely makes mobile gaming more enjoyable.
